RECOGNITION: Placed on National Register of Historic Places
AWARDS: Preservation Award, Salem Historical Commission, Massachusetts
DESCRIPTION: This historic house, circa 1755, served many uses during it life, including offices for the American Red Cross in the 1940s.
The renovation project involved an addition to the rear of the building as well as underpinning the entire foundation so a new floor could be created from the existing crawl space.
Many interesting artifacts (clay pipes and dishware) and graffiti were uncovered during this process.
