<>DESCRIPTION: Working for FEMA as a historic specialist, project involved meeting with “interested parties” (State and local officials, archeologists, tradition Hawaiian family member leaders) in compliance with Section 106 of the Historic Preservation Act to assess and document damage due to an earthquake that partially destroyed this most sacred Hawaiian cultural site. Cost estimates were generated and funding for reconstruction was provided by FEMA.
